What is iLASIK?

iLASIK combines the best of all LASIK technology available to create a one-of-a-kind vision correction experience. With iLASIK, Dr. Labor is able to take a tech-savvy, personalized approach to LASIK surgery. Every iLASIK procedure is completely custom – meaning you get the best possible outcome. No more cookie-cutter procedures!

At Eye Consultants of Texas, we have seen amazing results from this procedure. During clinical trials, ninety-four percent of patients saw 20/20 or better six months after their laser vision correction surgery. If you are looking for a completely custom vision correction procedure and the best possible outcomes, iLASIK may be the procedure for you.

With the iLASIK procedure, you can benefit today from decades of technical refinement. Dr. Labor, or any of our doctors, will carefully determine if you’re a candidate and guide you through what you can expect. To learn more about iLASIK, visit www.ilasik.com.

If you’re not a LASIK candidate, you may be a candidate for laser vision correction through surface ablation techniques, such as Photorefractive Keratectomy (PRK). You may also be a candidate for an implantable contact lens, such as Visian or Verisyse. Dr. Labor, or any of our doctors, can explain this in a way that’s informative and easy to understand.

Intralase IFS™ Femtosecond Laser

Creating a corneal flap is necessary for every type of LASIK procedure. As one of Dallas/Fort Worth’s top LASIK specialists, Phillips Kirk Labor, MD uses the IFS™ because it’s designed to create a more precise, customized flap. This can enhance your outcome, but also increase comfort and shorten recovery time.

iDESIGN® Refractive Studio

Eye Consultants of Texas is proud to offer the iDESIGN® Refractive Studio to our Dallas/Fort Worth patients that offers an advanced approach to laser vision correction surgery (LASIK or PRK). Using next generation technology, iDESIGN allows Dr. Labor to deliver a uniquely personalized LASIK procedure to you and only you.

The iDESIGN Refractive Studio is the world’s first platform that can analyze the entire eye from the inside out. This means no one else in the world will receive the same procedure because it is so specifically customized only to your vision.

What’s more, iDESIGN offers 25 times more precision than the traditional way of measuring refractive errors (when the eye cannot clearly focus). Simply put, more precise measurement means better treatment, and better outcomes.

How It Works

iDESIGN takes more than 1,200 measurements of your eye to create a truly personalized treatment plan. It first measures how light travels inside your eye, revealing for Dr. Labor what you see and imperfections in your vision. It then scans the outside surface of your eye, measuring and analyzing every tiny variation to help guide the laser during your treatment.

How Long Does It Take?

The iDESIGN laser treatment typically takes less than 3 minutes, and you’ll immediately notice a difference. About an hour after your procedure you’ll begin to see more clearly, and within one day most patients can return to their normal routine. All without the hassle of glasses or contacts, of course.

Is the iDESIGN Refractive Studio right for you? Your safety and health always come first. After a thorough evaluation to determine if you’re a candidate, Dr. Labor or any of our doctors can help you make the right choice. Schedule a consultation online today or call our Grapevine office at 817-410-2030, conveniently located in Dallas/Fort Worth.
