ClearView™ 3 Multifocal IOL

Font Resizer

The Lenstec ClearView™ 3 Multifocal Intraocular Lens is another advanced IOL we now offer our Dallas/Fort Worth cataract patients. Designed to treat presbyopia (near vision loss), the unique features of this lens provide excellent near, intermediate and distance vision. Greater vision at all distances means greater spectacle independence, or less reliance on eyeglasses.

Like other IOLs, the ClearView 3 is implanted during cataract surgery to replace your eye’s clouded natural lens. The technology it uses, however, makes this lens unlike any other presbyopic multifocal IOL available. It’s designed to not only provide superior vision at all distances, but also to improve contrast sensitivity, as well as further minimize halos and glare.

ClearView Multifocal IOL Features

This is the only multifocal lens available in quarter diopter increments. In simple terms, a diopter is used to define the power of any focusing element like eyeglasses or contact lenses, for example. In the same way, diopters determine the focusing power of an intraocular lens. The smaller the diopter increments, the more precise Dr. Labor and his team can be when selecting the IOL power that your eye requires.

Smaller diopter increments allow more options to give you the focusing power that best meets your needs.

The ClearView 3 lens uses “bi-aspheric lens optics”, the same technology as professional, high specification cameras and lenses. This technology allows for wider, peripheral vision (corner of the eye), visual range, and depth of focus to create the clearest images.

Based on patient results and clinical trial data, the majority of patients with this lens report they can complete daily tasks with freedom from glasses.
