Eye Consultants of Texas is the first practice in Texas to commercially acquire the Verion™ Image Guided System. This revolutionary technology creates a detailed map of the eye’s unique features before cataract surgery. The Verion is designed for improved planning, accuracy, and efficiency throughout the entire cataract refractive procedure.
How the Verion™ Image Guided System Works
A high-resolution image is taken of the patient’s eye, mapping out important details and measurements. This “map” allows Dr. Labor to more efficiently plan and customize each step of the procedure to the patient’s eye – including positioning and alignment of the intraocular lens. This level of customization leads to better clinical outcomes and a better patient experience. With the Verion™ System, Dr. Labor can tailor your cataract surgery to best suit your needs.
The Verion is used in cataract refractive surgery, also called “laser-assisted” surgery. This newer advancement uses the femtosecond laser, which has revolutionized LASIK surgery. The Verion is yet another innovation we are proud to have introduced in Dallas/Fort Worth to benefit our patients. If you suspect you have cataracts, call our office at 817-410-2030 and we’ll be happy to schedule an appointment.
