TRULIGN® Toric Intraocular Lens

Font Resizer

The TRULIGN Toric IOL is the first FDA-approved accommodating toric intraocular lens, which means it moves naturally within the eye. This lens greatly advances astigmatism correction allowing our cataract patients across Dallas/Fort Worth to experience a broader range of vision than ever before.

What makes TRULIGN so unique is that it combines Crystalens’ presbyopia correcting advantages with advanced astigmatism correction, designed to significantly improve vision across a natural range of focus (near, intermediate, and far distances).

TRULIGN is also the first presbyopia-correcting and astigmatism-correcting intraocular lens for use in the United States. In addition, Eye Consultants of Texas was one of only 7 U.S. sites selected to evaluate TRULIGN for manufacturer Bausch & Lomb and the FDA.

Astigmatism, an irregularly shaped cornea, is a very common condition that is often treatable. The advancements TRULIGN offers can result in even less dependency on “readers” after cataract surgery, which can make work, recreation and other daily activities easier and more rewarding. Like all of our Premium Smart Lenses, Dr. Labor expertly replaces the natural clouded lens with TRULIGN during cataract surgery.

TRULIGN is one of several advanced toric premium lenses that we offer. Phillips Kirk Labor, MD is uniquely experienced at implanting this lens and can help you make the right choice. If you suspect you have cataracts, schedule a consultation or call our Grapevine office at 817-410-2030, conveniently located in Dallas/Fort Worth.

As with most premium smart lenses, the TRULIGN toric lens does incur some out-of-pocket expense. In addition, please be aware that you may still need glasses for distance, intermediate and near vision, depending on your specific condition.
