Improved Range of Vision
Aspire offers a significant innovation compared to standard monofocal intraocular lenses (IOLs) called Intermediate Optimized (IO) optics. Aspire’s IO optics allow for a range of vision beyond one focal point that broadens your depth of focus for intermediate and distance vision. This can be particularly useful when using digital devices such as smartphones and tablets. And when used in both eyes in a specific configuration, the Aspire IOL also aids in enhancing near vision.
Post-Surgery Recovery
Aspire’s glistening-free optic material and proprietary StableFlex® technology allows the IOL to unfold more quickly, smoothly, and efficiently inside the eye. This leads to better recovery of the optic to its desired shape, more efficiency in the operating room, and less surgical time. The less surgical time required typically means better post-operative outcomes.
Available in Presbyopia-Correcting and Presbyopia-Correcting Toric Versions
We also offer an Aspire toric lens to treat patients with certain levels of astigmatism. The Aspire toric lens is unique in that it can treat less than one diopter of astigmatism of the cornea. To put this in perspective, according to the American Academy of Ophthalmology, an eye with no astigmatism equals zero (0) diopters. This means the Aspire toric can treat astigmatism more precisely than other toric lenses.
